Slowing down diabetes in newly diagnosed patients

In this study patients are treated with an antibody. The goal of this treatment is to prevent further destruction of insulin producing beta cells. Recently a new antibody has been developed. The current study evaluates the safety of treatment with this new antibody.

Transplantation of beta cells in patients with long-term diabetes

This project aims to treat diabetes in patients who are beginning to suffer chronic complications by transplantation of insulin producing beta cells.
